Lean Yellow Belt is a thorough 3-day introduction to the Lean method.

You gain an overview of the different methods in the Lean toolbox and a basic understanding of how Lean principles can be applied in your work.

The education takes a practical approach, where you learn how to improve processes and create more efficient workflows by identifying and eliminating waste and non-value-adding elements.

You will also gain the competencies to become an active support for Green Belts / Black Belts in larger and smaller Lean projects within your own organisation, as well as be a competent team member in Lean activities.

Who is the training aimed at?
The education is aimed at anyone wishing to learn more about the Lean method and have a basic understanding of the principles and tools of Lean. This can include employees at all levels in an organisation, from operators to leaders, who wish to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Content of Lean Yellow Belt Education

The education will focus on Lean and the tools naturally linked to the method.

The most relevant methods will be explained in combination with case studies and associated exercises, so you have the opportunity to test the theory in practice.

Outcome – What competences does it provide?

Having completed the Lean Yellow Belt course, you will have gained a basic understanding of the Lean method and its tools and will be able to apply these in practice.
  • You understand and can apply key Lean tools and techniques including: Kaizen, 5S, 8 forms of waste, visual management, flow and value stream analysis.
  • You will have learned how to improve processes, eliminate waste, and increase efficiency.
  • You can identify, control and monitor potential profit/loss areas and report these to Green Belts / Black Belts / Master Black Belts, becoming an essential part of your organisation's continuous improvement work.
